This 1999 Cobalt 272 Runabout sank during a storm on Lake Tahoe when water overwhelmed the bilge pump. Overall the fiberglass hull is intact but there are chips and abrasions port side aft quarter. Batteries, switches, wire harness, circuit breakers, toggle and rocker switches should be considered suspect. Fuel tank was reported to have water in it. The helm and steering are intact. The wrap around walkthrough windscreen is in fair condition and in need of adjustment. The bucket seats has small tears, aft bench seat and transom sun pad appeared to be intact. There is a small sink in cockpit. Toilet was not tested, condition unknown. Upholstery is in overall fair condition for age, but still wet. Canvas covers are in poor condition with multiple tears. Rubrail is in fair condition. Gauges and controls are in poor condition. Fresh water washdown is in poor condition. Raw water washdown is in poor condition. Carpet is in fair condition with some stains. Swim ladder is in poor condition. Swim platform is in poor condition. Engine hatch shows some damage and Actuator is seized.
Single MerCruiser 7.4 MPI V8 gas I/O engine was preserved and turned freely at inspection, not tested. Engine’s electrical system and components should be considered suspect. The MerCruiser Bravo Three stern drive was damaged slightly in storm and has small abrasions port side lower drive’s aluminum casing.
There is no trailer with this item.

This 2003 48' Sea Ray 480 Sedan Bridge was damaged as a result of fire in the salon possibly as a result of an electrical outlet port aft in salon. Electrical equipment and associated wiring in the salon should be inspected as it may have been compromised. Aside from damage in salon, the exterior surfaces and structure of the boat show no evidence of fire damage. The engines and equipment in the engine rooms show no evidence of fire damage. The condition of the electrical wiring in salon bulkheads and partitions is unknown. From the cockpit there is a step through sliding glass doors to a salon convertible sofa, dinette, and built-in entertainment center. Opposite, the large galley is designed with an island-style breakfast bar and under counter refrigeration. CruisAir 2400 BTU, appeared to be in good condition but not tested. Seaward 20 gallon water heater appears to be in good condition. There is a 68 gallon holding tank. There are two each Intel-Power Marine Converter/Chargers Model #PD2050.
Deck:
- The stainless steel door frame from cockpit to saloon shows discoloration and soot stains
- The glass of the door is fogged.
- The screen door and frame are severely charred.
- The gel coat in cockpit surrounding stainless steel door frame from saloon to cockpit is discolored and soot stained.
- The stainless steel handrails at steps from cockpit to fly bridge and at fly bridge console are discolored and soot stained.
- Windlass appears to be in good condition.
- The gel coat of the cockpit deck is soiled with soot tracked from footwear.
- The sole is soiled with soot tracked from footwear.
- The carpet aft on fly bridge is soiled with soot tracked from footwear.
- The upholstery on helm seats on fly bridge is soiled with soot tracked by personnel.
Saloon/Galley:
- The upholstery, overhead, soffits mullions and partitions in saloon were consumed and charred and all vinyl coverings and cushions have been removed.
- Salon sofa converts to double bed
- Salon coffee table was damaged in fire
- Convertible dinette
- Portions of the wood frames and cabinets were smoke damaged but not charred.
- Fiberglass areas are smoke damaged but not charred.
- No windows are broken or cracked.
- The glass of the saloon windows is fogged.
- The loose table in the saloon and table at dinette are damaged.
- Corian countertops in saloon are discolored but should polish up
- The carpet is partially charred
- The electronics and appliances in saloon and galley may have been exposed to heat and/or soot
- Insignia VCR/DVD player appeared operational.
- Direct TV-Receiver appeared operational
- Bose DVD Surround Rec appeared operational
- Xandrex-Inverter 2000 System appeared operational
- Subzero refrigerator and freezer appeared operational
- 3 burner Kenyon glass cook top slightly heat damaged, appeared operational, slightly
- Clarion CD changer
- Microwave damaged
Forward Cabins:
- There are three staterooms on the lower level including a portside stateroom, starboard stateroom, and a master stateroom forward with an entertainment center.
- The stainless steel hand rail in the forward passageway is discolored and soot stained.
- Upholstery of overhead and partitions in passageway are smoke damaged.
light fixtures in the passageway are discolored
- wood doors and door frames in passageway are discolored and soot stained.
- The carpet and carpet runner in the passageway is soot stained.
- The upholstery, window treatments, bedding and carpet in the forward cabins is soot stained.
- The countertops, partitions and cabinets in the forward cabins and heads are soot stained.
- The electronics and appliances in forward cabins may have been exposed to heat and/or soot.
- The Starboard Guest room with twin bunks has smoke damage to vinyl coverings and upholstery but no fire damage
