This 1980 31' Silverton 31 Convertible Flybridge Cruiser was damaged during the storm surge from Hurricane Sandy. The vessel was not submerged but water did accumulate in the bilge approximately 16’’ deep. The flybridge has been removed for transport but will need repositioning before transported long distances. The forward hatch over the V-berth is busted out. Water damage to upholstery and carpet. Crush damage to the fiberglass on port and starboard stern corners with hull/deck damage in same area. Hull has scratches 360 degrees. Hull appears sound with no holes. Gelcoat is in poor condition, chalky and scratched on hull sides. The teak swim platform is torn loose from the hull and the boarding ladder is bent. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Salon with two settees, galley, V-berth and enclosed head.
INTERIOR:

Master stateroom forward with V-berth, hanging locker, storage upper and lower, anchor locker, ports and overhead ventilation hatch, broken, and privacy curtain.
Galley: Stainless steel sink, 2-burner Princess stove, small 110 volt refrigerator, drawers, ventilation hatch and cabinets for storage.

Carpet in poor condition. Carpet is wet.
Head: vanity sink, 12 volt Mansfield toilet, shower and ventilation hatch.
EXTERIOR:
All windows and bow rail are in good condition.
All running gear has damage.
Both props and struts are bent.
Both rudders are bent.
Both trim tabs are bent.
Rubrail: Stainless steel, bent and torn loose in several places around hull.

Two holes in fiberglass approximately 6”x6” and 2”x2” port aft corner. There is a small crack in fiberglass in hull amidships half way between gunnel and chine. 1992 38' Formula/Thunderbird F-36 PC Cruiser was washed off its stands during the storm surge from hurricane Sandy. The boat was washed against several other boats and sustained heavy fiberglass damage to hull. The boat was submerged stern down with water accumulating in the cabin approximately 18’’ deep. Heavy fiberglass damage to transom corners. Damage to hull/deck joint along entire starboard side. Damage to hull/deck joint on portside near bow approximately 15’ long. 12’’x 30’’ hole in the deck cap amidships on starboard side. Approximately 2’x 6’ area of the hull crushed near bow on port side. Damage to bow pulpit. Abrasion damage to bow area. Gelcoat in poor condition, scratches and gouges 360 degrees.
No holes in the bottom of the hull. Fiberglass damage to swim platform and boarding ladder is torn off. Bow rail is bent with the front section missing. The windshield and radar arch are in good condition. The dash components did not get wet and appear operable, not tested. The bimini top and cockpit cover are in good condition. Both engines were submerged and all components are damaged. The generator was submerged. Both props and rudders are bent. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel.

The fiberglass hull is in fair condition with chalky gelcoat/paint. Boat was down in the bow and listing heavy to starboard. Water line was about half way up the cabinets under the bow queen berth bunk. The mid ship starboard stateroom appears to only had water up to the floor boards. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.

The boat was not submerged but water did accumulate in the forward section of the cabin approximately 2’’ deep. The engine compartment was not flooded. Fiberglass damage to the bottom of the hull. Approximately 10’’x 10’’ hole in the hull at the waterline on starboard side near the bow. Approximately 6’’x 6’’ hole in the hull near the keel approximately 6’ back from the bow. Twin Marine Power 7.4 litre I/O engines. There was no water in the oil at time of inspection. The engine compartment had a small amount of water but did not appear to have been flooded. The engines appear complete with no water damage. The oil is clean in both engines and the engines turn free but were not tested, condition unknown.
TRANSMISSION:
The V-drives appear operational but not tested.
GENERATOR:
Kohler 7.3 KW, water in the oil, not tested, condition unknown.

Mercruiser Alpha One outdrives. One outdrive is on the boat and the other outdrive is off the boat. The outdrive that is off the boat is in the cockpit and is in pieces, not inventoried and unknown if pieces missing.

Water accumulated in the bilge during the storm. There is a 8’’x 8’’ hole below waterline near bow on port side. This hole allowed water into bilge but did not flood the boat. Muddy residue is present in the bilge area from bow to stern. Abrasion damage to fiberglass on underwater chines and keel area. Heavy abrasions to gelcoat on starboard hull side. One 6’ long area of impact damage to hull/deck joint on starboard side near bow. One 10’ area of impact damage to hull/deck joint midship on starboard side. Deep scratches and gouges in the same area. The stainless steel bow rail is bent on starboard side with two stanchions bent and pulled loose from deck. Fiberglass damage to back corner of swim platform. Impact damage to back of swim platform and rubrail is damaged. Both 4 blade props are bent. The starboard rudder is bent. The shafts appear to be in good condition but not tested. The trim tabs appear in working condition but not tested. Both engines appear in working condition with no water in the oil but not tested. Engines turn free and all components appear good. The transmissions have clean oil and appear good but not tested. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.

This 1980 36' Sea Ray 360 Vanguard Sedan Flybridge Convertible Sports Fish Cruiser broke loose from the mooring during hurricane Sandy. The boat came to rest on a bulkhead after the storm surge. There is fiberglass damage to the stern and the boat took on water. The vessel was not submerged but accumulated water in the stern approximately 18’’deep. Fiberglass damage to the starboard side prop pocket. Damage occurred when the boat hit the bulkhead. The damage area is approximately 8’’x 48’’ on the inside of the prop pocket. The damage is thru the hull and allowed water into the boat. The hull sides have scratches 360 degrees. The hull and deck appear solid but showing signs of age. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection.
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Interior has two staterooms forward, master with full size berth and side cabin with two bunks, galley and head.
INTERIOR:
Carpet and upholstery are in poor condition due to age.
Galley: Double stainless steel sink, 3-burner Princess stove top, Sharp microwave, 120 volt Haier refrigerator. The galley is small but well equipped and lots of storage Appliances appear operable, not tested.
